The Old Station House, London Road
At Monkey Puzzle St Albans we believe our children are the most important part of the nursery!
Monkey Puzzle St Albans is owned and managed by a qualified Primary teacher who has an abundance of experience with children of all ages.
The nursery is housed in the former Station House from the railway line that ran from St Albans to Hatfield. The Station was first opened October 1865, closed to passengers October 1951 and finally the freight traffic ceased in October 1964. A cycle and footpath replace the old tracks, now named The Alban Way.
It is a unique grade II listed building which spans over two floors. There is a large recently renovated outdoor area with impact-absorbing play surface. All rooms have access to the outside area and children are able to play outside whatever the weather, all year round as we have shade as well as surfacing that will not get muddy or water logged. We have a private car park to allow safe drop off and collection.
We are close to the centre of St Albans with the mainline railway station just 0.8 miles away. All main bus routes run along the London road stopping minutes from our door.
